What is beard oil made out of?

What is beard oil made out of?

This has been a frequent question from readers, and many people are wondering what kind of ingredients are in their oils. I am here to give you some insight.

Now let me start off by saying that usually there are two different kinds of oils used in a beard oil. First, just a scentless base. Then, a single or mixture or essential oils for scent.

Here are some common ingredients used as the base of a beard oil:
  • Argan Oil
  • Coconut Oil
  • Jojoba Oil
  • Almond Oil
These ingredients are basically here as a filler, and as an active ingredient at the same time. These are scentless, or very close to it but any of these oils can be very helpful to beard health. You don't even have to add in the 2nd step of essential oils for aroma, but that is most of the fun. The base usually takes up 99 percent of the visible liquid in a bottle of beard oil.

Here are some common ingredients used as beard oil scents:
  • Peppermint Oil
  • Tea Tree Oil
  • Cedar Oil
  • Pine Oil
  • Fir Oil
  • Lemongrass
  • Essential oil of citrus fruits
As you can see, there is almost an endless supply in beard oil ingredients. If you are thinking about making your own beard oil, I would stick to all natural and organic ingredients and essential oils.

Now you just add a very small amount of essential oil into your base, and you have beard oil.

Now you know the big secret of how it's made!
